Round Table Knights’ 5 Songs of the Moment

Round-Table-Knights

Swiss duo Round Table Knights — Biru Bee and Marc Hofweber — have established quite a reputation for themselves on the global house scene thanks to steadily crafting bespoke club tracks for labels such as Defected, OFF, Exploited and Made to Play. “We met at a jam session, and we like the same music and we had the same vision,” they told us in an interviewed last April. “So it was just a natural progress to set up Round Table Knights.”

The twosome continue along on their quest for global dance domination with their recently released Secret Place EP out now via Have A Killer Time. The EP features three original cuts and a killer remix courtesy of Australia’s Fantastic Man.

Always curious about the tracks DJ/producers are living for at the moment, we connected with RTK’s Biru Bee and asked him to share some of the songs that are currently in heavy rotation.

Bob Moses’ 5 Songs of the Moment on SoundCloud

BOB_MOSES

Hailing from Vancouver and later forming in Brooklyn, Bob Moses’s Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance have sketched out a beautiful, singular sound for themselves, one that’s informed by house and techno yet accented with a dash of icy melancholy and influenced by the natural grandeur of their hometown. Over the course of a musical partnership that’s seen them build an association with Brooklyn-based indie label Scissors and Thread to present gorgeous, expansive works like last year’s Far From The Tree EP, Howie and Vallance are now signed to Domino Records and will release their First To Cry EP this month on the much lauded label. After completing a string of European dates in May that included gigs in Paris, London, Glasgow, Istanbul and Ibiza, the duo are playing around the U.S. this month. As they recharged their batteries in between gigs, we asked the guys to share their five favorite artists of the moment on SoundCloud.

Until The Ribbon Breaks’ 5 Songs of the Moment on SoundCloud

Until-The-Ribbon-Breaks

Until The Ribbon Breaks is the artistic vehicle for rising producer/singer/songwriter/remixer Pete Lawrie Winfield (pictured above). Hailing from Cardiff, Wales, his glorious debut single “Pressure” occupies the similarly sparse terrain pioneered by the likes of James Blake, only Winfield’s methodology is swathed in a gritty darkness inspired by brooding Bristol ’90s acts like Portishead to pop stars like Usher. Now fronting a kick-ass three-piece band who’ve toured North America supporting Lorde, Phantogram and Delorean, UTRB, who just issued a wicked video for “Goldfish,” will present their debut album due out on August 26. Before the trio kick off a weekly residency in L.A., we asked Winfield and James Wolujewicz to share their five songs of the moment on SoundCloud.

Until The Ribbon Breaks’ residency at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles runs every Monday from June 2 to June 30.
