Round Table Knights’ 5 Songs of the Moment

Round-Table-Knights

Swiss duo Round Table Knights — Biru Bee and Marc Hofweber — have established quite a reputation for themselves on the global house scene thanks to steadily crafting bespoke club tracks for labels such as Defected, OFF, Exploited and Made to Play. “We met at a jam session, and we like the same music and we had the same vision,” they told us in an interviewed last April. “So it was just a natural progress to set up Round Table Knights.”

The twosome continue along on their quest for global dance domination with their recently released Secret Place EP out now via Have A Killer Time. The EP features three original cuts and a killer remix courtesy of Australia’s Fantastic Man.

Always curious about the tracks DJ/producers are living for at the moment, we connected with RTK’s Biru Bee and asked him to share some of the songs that are currently in heavy rotation.

Download a free radio edit of Round Table Knights’ “Secret Place” below.

1. Echo 106 – “Blackness”
“Blackness” is a track off the latest The Dying Lights compilation from one of Switzerland’s top labels, Lux Records. The compilation will be out in March. Really looking froward to this one.

2. Gigi Masin – “Moor”
The album Talk To The Sea from Gigi Masin was an absolute highlight for me in 2014. Here’s a CD bonus track that Music From Memory just recently uploaded to SoundCloud.

3. Anthony Naples – “Abrazo”
Anthony Naples at his best! This track is taken from the forthcoming Body Pill LP that’s going to be released on February 16.

4. August Landelius – “Handing Out Stones”
A friend of mine just send me this tune, and I’ve been listening to it nonstop. The whole Float EP is great! To be honest I don’t know much more about him, but hopefully will soon.

5. Karpov Not Kasparov – “Mechanical Turk”
Mehmet Aslan is from Basel. I like how he mixes his traditional Turkish roots with house and techno. Huntleys + Palmers is also a really nice label. Check it out!
