Video Premiere: Simion’s “Give You Love (The Piano)”

Simion

Rising German DJ/producer Simion is known for devastating dance floors and continually broadening his musical horizons, courtesy of his spate of knockout releases for Off Recordings and Hedonism Music. We’re thrilled to world premiere the music video for his brilliant new effort, “Give You Love (The Piano),” which will be released next month by esteemed Spanish DJ/producer Coyu’s Suara imprint.

The dazzling animated video brimming with colors and shapes was directed by Alpaca Animation from the Netherlands, a duo who Simion has worked with in the past. The Amsterdam creatives drew influence for the clip from An Optical Poem, a 1938 animation by Oscar Fischinger.

“I always love the style of their videos,” Simion tells us of the video for his future house anthem. “This is the third video we’ve done together and the more we work together the more excited I get. I love the images and colors they have used for this one. The whole thing fits together with the hypnotic feel of my track. It also reminds me visually of ’90s raves, which is great.”

Watch the video below, and pick up Simion’s latest and greatest release next week.

Simion’s “Give You Love (The Piano)” featuring remixes by Ninetoes and Dari D’Attis is released February 2 on Suara Music.

Premiere: Aggborough’s “The Answer To Everything”

Aggborough William Richard Green

Over the years William Green has expressed himself in a variety of artistic mediums, including DJing, music production, fashion and co-presenting club nights in London. This month he debuts his Aggborough alias by issuing a two-track EP on OTB Records, a work which hints at even bigger things to come from the emerging maestro.

We’re pleased to world premiere “The Answer To Everything” from the EP, an underground house cut built on a deep, take-no-prisoners groove.

Green fuels his romp with crafty samples of actor Ben Gazzara portraying Charles Bukowski explaining “style” lifted from the 1981 film Tales Of Ordinary Madness. In the endGreen, who often uses field recordings in his productions, delivers a hard-hitting number that’s bound to get any warehouse party started right.

Take a first listen to “The Answer To Everything” below, and keep an eye on this chap.

OTB Records will release Aggborough’s “The Answer to Everything”/ “Mitzpe Ramon” EP on January 26.

Video Premiere: Embassy of Joy’s “Addiction”

Embassy Of Joy Addiction

No doubt inspired by the breathtaking natural wonders around them, Hawaiian duo Embassy of Joy make beautiful music together. After catching the ear of DJ/producer/Endless label honcho Luca Bacchetti, the twosome composed of DJ/producer Marasco and vocalist/songwriter Gretchen Rhodes (who was featured on country music star Kenny Chesney’s last album and is in a band with Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac) have stepped out in a big way with a deep, dubby and utterly gorgeous single for the imprint.

We’re thrilled to world premiere EoJ’s video for “Addiction” shot by director Alberto Guglielmi on location in Maui, which finds Rhodes sauntering about the beach with the ocean lapping up on the shore while Marasco eerily stand silent, wearing a mask until the last moments of the clip.

“The nature and the place where the music was developed are able to give the right influence to this sound,” says Bacchetti. “The frequencies are influenced by the surroundings. Embassy of Joy was born in Hawaii. Yes, it is classified as a paradise. In this paradise where a multicultural world meet with psychedelic, Polynesian and American sounds, it generates something really unique. When I heard ‘Addiction’ for the first time I realized that this melody was not going to leave my head any too soon…here it is.”

Embassy Of Joy’s “Addiction” featuring remixes by Johannes Brecht and Patlac is out now on Endless.
