Premiere: Matveï – TE NECESITO¡! CLUB

Matveî Kitsune

Ahead of the April 15 release of the Tales For Nightclubs #1 EP (Kitsuné Musique), which is the first installment of the three-part TFN series from Paris-based house DJ/producer Matveï, we’re thrilled to world premiere “TE NECESITO¡! CLUB” from the upcoming three-tracker.

A devotee of electronic and rap, Matveï forges a low-slung, bass-driven floor mover that’s propelled by sultry female Spanish vocals, a rousing kick drum and sinewy percussion. Trust us when we say it has summertime stamped all over it.

This particular iteration of the cut, Matveï says, is founded on “a different structure, a different chord progression, (jazz-influenced), an aggressive house drop with vocal chops and gliding 808s that turn an emotional Latin-flavored original into a festival-ready tune.”

Premiere: Ténéré – Say Laa Vee

Tenere-Say-Laa-Vee

Ahead of the release of Club Nowadays, Vol. 1 featuring selections by Chien Méchant, Grand Soleil, La Fine Equipe, Phantom Traffic, Fulgeance and Trifouille1er, we’re thrilled to world premiere the compilation’s first single by Paris-based DJ/producer Ténéré.

Ténéré flexes his house-fueled muscles on the funky cut “Say Laa Vee,” brandishing a sound that channels ’90s French Touch like nobody’s business.

Combining a booming kick drum, choice string and vocal samples, and a killer bassline, the recipe he whips up is irresistible.

Premiere: Ziggy Funk – Brondesbury Park

Ziggy Funk

We’re kicking off September in a massive way with a world premiere from London-based multi-instrumentalist/DJ/producer Ziggy Funk.

Brandishing a musical signature influenced by soul, jazz, hip-hop and blues, we’re thrilled to present the rousing title track from the U.K. talent’s upcoming Brondesbury Park EP.

Set for release on September 3 via BBE Music, the party-perfect track is a funky melange of undulating Afrobeat grooves peppered with elements of Latin and broken beat. Horn lines float atop shuffling drum beats that’ll make you want to move your waistline to the bassline.

Premiere: Consolidated – Musica Sin Fronteras (R34L Remix)

Consolidated-band

Since their formation in the late ’80s, left-leaning industrial band Consolidated has used their music to serve as a platform to speak out about a wealth of societal issues, including corporate greed, fascism, homophobia, animal rights and ethnocentrism. Much of what they discussed on 1991’s landmark album Friendly Fa$cism sadly came to the forefront under America’s 45th president.

After the release of their most recent full-length album, We’re Already There, comes a remix album issued today via Austin-based eMERGENCY heARTS.

We’re thrilled to world premiere the remix of “Musica Sin Fronteras” crafted by Chicago’s woman-led electronic duo R34L. Like every note Consolidated has played during their lengthy career, their hard-hitting interpretation pulls no punches.
