Russian DJ/producer/musician Ivan Latyshev has recorded his share of wicked deep-house gems for a spate of top dance music labels including What’s In The Box, Large, Toolroom, King Street, and Spaghetti Monster. Separating him from the pack is his wealth of musical chops that enable him to take each production to a heady new level.
Picking up where he left off after he issued the My Youth EP on Steve Bug’s Dessous Recordings, the Barcelona-based Latyshev makes a triumphant return to the Hamburg/Berlin-based imprint this week with the Art of Flying EP.
We’re extremely pleased to world premiere the title track remixed by none other than Detroit techno legend Eddie “Flashin'” Fowlkes. The Motor City master injects his magic into Latyshev’s track with layers of smooth synth stabs and techy grooves punctuated with big drums.
