Lebanese duo 3LIAS and Ali Ajami are DJ/producers with impeccable musical resumes: Elias “3LIAS” Merheb is a resident at Beirut’s iconic B018 club, while Ali Ajami is currently a resident at überhaus (The Gärten). Last fall they made a lot of noise courtesy of their “Bring It Back” released on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records.
On April 10 the twosome’s new gem, “Audio Culture,” will be released on John Debo’s Mindwarp Records. All killer and no filler boasting wah-wah guitar, tight basslines and analog synths, the release is Mindwarp’s first since taking an 18-month respite.
Ahead of the release we’re thrilled to world premiere Pete Moss’ re-rub that takes the track into an even smoother, more soulful direction. Following allong the lines of the magic he’s made during a career crafting tracks for Ovum Recordings, Recline and Dessous, Moss goes subterranean deep, stripping the cut down down to the core and bathing it with his trademark brand of Philadelphia deepness.
