With 2015 almost in the history books, Slit Jockey Records, the bass label owned and operated by Starkey, Dev79 and El Carnicero, is already busy writing the 2016 chapter of their history. Recently the venerable imprint announced its first release of 2016 will come via Germany’s Bios, who many will know from his work running the acclaimed Hamburg-based Saturate! Records. We’re extremely pleased to world premiere “Septic Wind Variations” off Bios’ debut Ashki Chronicles EP. It’s an evocative dose of stark grime that’s properly accented with subtle tinges of techno.
