Fresh From Releasing his ‘Blitzbahn’ LP, Oliver Schories Selects His 5 Tech-House Tracks of the Moment

Oliver Schories

After presenting the Fakir EP in November, prolific German DJ/producer Oliver Schories released his fifth artist album, Blitzbahn, on his SOSO label earlier this month.

Picking up where he left off with 2016’s Relatively Definitely, the 13-track long-player finds Schories taking his talent for producing emotive house and techno to the next level. His basslines are deep, vibes are smooth, and the smoldering, understated grooves are truly something to behold.

Ahead of his upcoming live set at The Cityfox Experience at Avant Gardner on April 14 in New York City with Âme, Tiga, Mathias Kaden, Ruede Hagelstein (live), Tim Engelhardt (live), Christian Voldstad and bilaliwood, Schories shares current tracks that are rocking his world.

1. Black Light Smoke – Third Up
I absolutely love the productions from BLS without exception. This is one of his new tracks. It’s perfect to set the scene with at the beginning of the night.

2. Mind Against – Days Gone
This is quite epic but the use of the synths and the melodies are just insane. It’s not what I would I play but what I like pretty much.

3. Portable Sunsets – Straylight (Dave DK Remix)
Dave DK has been one of my musical heroes for years. I didn’t know about this remix until it popped up on my Spotify release radar some weeks ago.

4. Monolink – Sirens (Patrice Bäumel Remix)
This has been a steady one in my sets for months. Such a nice interpretation.

5. Collective Machine – People
I’ve been infected with loopy tech-house for quite a while now and collective machine have released quite a bunch of tracks over the last couple of months – most of them are in my box.
