Who would have ever guessed that a Foo Fighters song could get funky? Apparently British beat brainiac Aldo Vanucci did, and he went one step further — he actually made it happen, with the help of a guest vocal turn from his cohort Boo.
Vanucci’s version of the Foo Fighters’ “All My Life” sports a fierce funk groove so slamming that for the first 30 seconds or so before the vocal comes in, you don’t even really care if there’s a vocal or not. And then when Boo makes her entrance the track jumps up to a whole other level of irresistible danceability. And that’s just one of the treats to be found on Jalapeño Records’ new collection, Jalapeno Funk Vol. 7. Out on December 11, it includes Bristol’s Allergies, Parker, Kraak & Smaak, Smoove & Turrell, and many more, each offering up a track more funk-filled than the other.
