Even though AOTOA already gained plenty of attention with his first appearance on Jalapeno Records, giving garage a makeover on a remix of Ephemerals‘ “You Made Us Change,” his upcoming single, “Come On People,” is actually his proper debut for the label. The sensual vocals, snappy synth riffs, and sneaky, syncopated beats that keep the track moving feel like indications that there’s a bright future in store for the Brighton-based producer. The single will also feature remixes from Fraems, who is half of Italy’s techno duo Aucun, and AOTOA’s fellow Jalapeno artist Lindo Man. Here’s a first listen at Lindo Man’s take on the tune, complete with spooky subversions of the female vocals and a seriously bumped-up bassline.
“Come On People” is out Sept. 25 on Jalapeno Records.
