While beGun (a.k.a. Gunsal Moreno) hasn’t been on the scene for very long, in the last couple of years he has already become one of the hottest musical properties to emerge from Barcelona. On December 18, Ham House Records will release his new single, “Dora.” Africa was the inspiration for the track, and beGun did his homework.
“Before we started working on the project we studied the sounds (spiritual music, tone patterns, traditional instruments etc), as well as the visual narrative (political conflicts, immigration, spirituality),” he says.
The video, directed by Borja V. Conde, revolves around sex workers and the harsh realities of their everyday lives. Accompanying the original track will be remixes from Applescal and Blackbird Blackbird.
