Jean Claude Ades, who is widely known for his multitude of musical exploits by way of his Be Crazy events in Ibiza, flexes his production prowess in a big way on his latest effort, “Out Of My Head.” Set for release on February 26 via Be Crazy Music, Ades puts the deeply emotive and highly infectious vocal track in the extremely capable hands of London’s Betoko, who in turn forges a sexy, synthy romp that’ll undoubtedly be heard all over the White Isle this season. Premiere: Michael Klein – “Dura 2” feat. aGhost (Roman Lindau Remix)
When Second State label bosses Pan-Pot interviewed Michael Klein for us after the release of his heralded Drawing EP, the Berlin techno producer/visual artist made a telling confession about his approach to work. “I always end up running multiple projects at the same time,” Klein told Thomas and Tassilo. “Once I have an idea in my head, I cannot stop until I release it.” This month the buzzworthy and hard-working technocrat is back with his Metals EP comprised of tracks that further the concepts he artfully sketched out on his previous EP. We’re extremely pleased to world premiere Roman Lindau’s remix of “Dura 2” feat. aGhost from the release out on February 26. “I’ve always been a fan of Roman’s music,” Klein tells us. “Therefore I could not have been more excited when I heard he agreed to to remix one of my tracks. Expectations have been obviously high but Roman even exceeded these and transformed the electronica track ‘Dura2’ into a deep dance floor bomb. To have such a great remixer in my release pallet is another big personal milestone.”
Premiere: Sabb & Boy.An – “Not Feeling That Fine” (Zoo Brazil Remix)
How do you celebrate your record label’s 100th release? If you’re globetrotting Swiss DJ/producer Sabb (a.k.a. Sabri Kastrati), the proprietor of the mighty SK Supreme imprint, you join forces with Boy.An to craft the floor mover “Not Feeling That Fine” and then enlist the services of world-class remixers to launch the track into the stratosphere. We’re extremely pleased to present the world premiere of Zoo Brazil’s remix of “Not Feeling That Fine,” an interpretation that finds the immensely talented Swede bathing the track with warm bass, meandering vocal samples and forging a melancholy tech-house groove that’s purpose-built for 6am consumption. Milestone celebrations don’t come any better than this.
Premiere: Radiolevel – “Enter The Square”
Many DJs nowadays are drawn to the glare of the spotlight like moths to a flame. That’s all well and good for some but not for emerging phenom Radiolevel. You see he’s found his artistic stride making quality house tracks from the periphery of the shadows. Born in Guyana and raised in Belgium, his productions for a spate of labels (Stab Recordings, Miracle Recordings, Kiko) have consistently bred fresh, innovative ideas, and it’s obvious that he’s just scratched the surface of his musical potential. So it is only fitting that a man who prefers to let his music do the talking for him connected with likeminded countrymen Crack And Crunch’s Hit By A Truck label (check out C&C’s exclusive Big Shot Guest Mix here) to release his Enter the Square EP. We’re excited to world premiere the gloriously minimal title track from Radiolevel’s latest effort, a head-nodding romp with deep, haunting bass, a wicked 4/4 groove and some eerie samples.
