Italian electronic music producer Manuele Chiaravalloti is the one-man tour de force Mod21, a project he began working on a decade ago.
Hailing from Satriano, Italy, Mod21 began to take shape in 2007 when he moved to Switzerland at the age of 15. A stranger in a new country, he looked inward and began producing music in his bedroom. Cut to the present and Chiaravalloti’s burgeoning sound encompasses a smattering of deep minimal techno, ambient and experimental.
With releases on Munich-based Prolgue to his credit, Chiaravalloti will release his Chapter 1 EP via his 21 imprint on April 10. Ahead of the EP’s release, we’re extremely pleased to world premiere the opening track “Black Ink,” a hypnotic, intoxicatingly slow droning cut from the upcoming four-track affair.
