2018 Rewind: Fernando Lagreca

Fernando-Lagreca

Highlights?

It was a really good year, musically speaking. I released some nice stuff on labels like Sincopat, Chrom, Dear Deer, and Lost On You, and I had the chance to play in really awesome events and venues, such as Verboten Festival in Mainz, Plastic Belgrade, Kitchen Istanbul or ADE, just to name a few, aside from gigs in City Hall, Laut or Razzmatazz in my beloved home Barcelona.

Lowlights?

The lowlights of the year were, fortunately, not based on the music scene, but on the most social and/or political side. Lot of noise in Spain and Europe with stuff like refugees, poverty, Brexit (or not), etc. A bit overhelmed with all this things and no solutions in the end.

Song of the year?

Victor Ruiz – Pulso (Drumcode)

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

To keep enjoying while making music or playing live, improve my skills in general, get more involved into the music scene and travel to Japan!

Adeline

How was 2018 for you?

Adeline: 2018 has been one the most important years of my life. I released my solo album and got married (each being two months apart)! It was definitely a year of accomplishment, decisions, growth, taking chances and achieving goals in a major way.

My first solo show at C’Mon Everybody in March
Playing Afropunk Brooklyn
My wedding in September
My album release on November 9th
France winning the World Cup

Lowlights?

The loss of Aretha Franklin. Everything related to American politics which sadly resulted in daily lowlights..

2018 Rewind: East Man

East Man

How was 2018 for you?

The past year has been quite tumultuous. So much has been happening within my personal and musical life that I am looking forward to things settling down so I can take stock.

Highlights?

Releasing the Red, White & Zero LP on Planet Mu, getting to work with so many talented MCs and setting up my own label, Hi Tek Sounds.

Lowlights?

I was hoping things would have picked up a bit faster off the back of the album, but these things take time.

Song of the year?

I don’t really have a favorite song of the year, but I am really feeling Kalash & Ward 21 – Dem A Evil at the moment.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

I don’t have one.

2018 Rewind: Bruno Martini

bruno_martini

How was 2018 for you?

Bruno Martini: 2018 was an amazing year. I’m super grateful for everything that happened! I played some of the biggest festivals and clubs in the world, such as Tomorrowland Belgium, Parookaville, Mysteryland, Hi Ibiza, Cafe Mambo, EDC México (main stage), Creamfields UK, Creamfields Chile.

I released my very first EP called The Cure; a remix for “The Middle” by Zedd and also six original songs, including “YOUNGR” with Shaun Jacobs and “Savages” with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano feat Mayra.

Highlights?

Working with Timbaland, performing “Savages” with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano at Main Stage Tomorrowland Belgium, surpassing half a billion streams alone on Spotify.

Lowlights?

We learn from lowlights so, actually, they are positive things. Perspective is everything!

Song of the year?

Losing It – Fisher

What’s your New Year’s resolution

My debut album.
