Erick Morillo Miami arrest

Internationally known DJ/producer/Subliminal Records boss Erick Morillo has been arrested and charged with sexual battery. The offense allegedly took place at Morillo’s home in Miami Beach in December.

According to published news reports, Morillo and his accuser were DJing a private party on Star Island, a man-made island adjacent to Miami Beach.

Police say the two went to Morillo’s home for drinks, along with another woman. According to the arrest report, the victim told detectives that Morillo “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.”

The alleged victim told police she was intoxicated and later found a room inside the home to sleep by herself.

She “reported waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude,” according to the arrest report.

Yesterday, the results of a rape kit came back and tested positive for Morillo’s DNA. The police report says Morillo turned himself in with his attorney.

Morillo has reportedly denied the accusations.

This isn’t Morillo’s first brush with the law. In 2008, he was arrested at Glasgow Airport and charged with cocaine possession. The charges were later dropped. In 2016, he revealed an addiction to shooting ketamine that got so bad that he nearly lost his arm. Watch Morillo explain his drug addiction in the IG video below.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
