Bristol boy Eats Everything has been busy making a name for himself for a few years now, with releases on Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and other imprints, but this year has been especially good to him. His mix album Fries With That, his label and event series Edible, have helped put him in the proverbial catbird seat. But his latest development is a perfect way to cap off the year. He’s been honored with overseeing the next installment of the vaunted fabric mix series.
Eats will bring together a broad assortment of tracks for fabric 86, which is set for a February 19 release, but he says all the tunes “have had some kind of meaning to me and I have played every one of them at fabric… some are old, some are new, some are bangers, some are groovers, some are trippy, some are euphoric, but they are all ‘fabric records’ and that’s what this mix is all about.”
Booka Shade, Joi Cardwell, The Ananda Project, and Golden Boy with Miss Kittin are only a few of the artists represented, while Lauren Lane and Cajmere contributed brand new tracks for the occasion. The launch party for fabric 86 occurs on Saturday, February 13, with Eats appearing alongside Craig Richards and Green Velvet; we hopefully don’t need to tell you where.
