Techno for Humanity Will Aid Syrian Refugees

Don’t labor under the misconception that you have to be a classic rocker or a granola-crunching hippie in order to use music in the service of the needy. In response to the current Syrian refugee crisis, Belgian promoter IKON has quickly and impressively pulled together a techno event that will benefit the refugees. Techno for Humanity will take place on September 17 at IKON Antwerp, presenting a whole slew of artists who have pledged their time to help the displaced Syrians in their time of strife.

The headliners for the event are set to include the likes of Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Matthias Tanzmann, Marc Houle, Christian Smith, Marco Faraone, and many more. Techno-oriented media companies who have pledged their support include Rebel Butterfly, Resident Advisor, Pulse Radio and Wunderground.

There will be a live video stream courtesy of Be-at.tv, and even if you can’t attend the event you can still by a Support Ticket online. Proceeds will go to Médecins Sans Frontières International, Migrant Offshore Aid Station, International Rescue Committee, and The Un Refugee Agency. Want to do your part? Find more info here.
