We’ve sung the praises of Italian DJ/producer Pirupa several times this year for quite good reason. On his Rising EP he forged a steamy three-tracker soaked with emotive tech-house, while his Pirupa & Friends EP for Nic and Mark Fanciulli’s Saved Records brandished two blissful solo tracks and two collaborative efforts.
Pirupa is back with his scorching-hot Bless You EP out August 5 on his NONSTOP label. We’re extremely pleased to world premiere the title track in which he taps a timeless synth melody line from ’80s pop classic “Africa” by Toto and weaves it effortlessly into his tech-house signature.
He had this to say bout the track: “I really wanted to do something fresh for the summer, and I sampled a track very important to me. I was born listening to some great music from the 80’s, and Toto’s ‘Africa’ has an important meaning also because my new girlfriend is from that continent…so it’s something special!”
