Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour label, which happens to be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, shows that it still has some surprises in store in the form of Sleazy Dance Moves Vol. 1, the new EP by U.K. talent Lewis Boardman.
The DJ who helped make the Circus parties in Liverpool famous is no slouch in the recording studio either, having strutted his stuff on several labels, but for his first outing on Moon Harbour, Boardman has refined his sound more than ever.
The deep house grooves Boardman gets into over the course of these four tracks are as visceral as they are carefully crafted, and for his part, Boardman sounds like he’s in his comfort zone on the Moon Harbour roster saying, “This is my best work so far and I’m really happy to be a part of such a great label as Moon Harbour, I’ve been a huge fan of Matthias and his work for many years.” And the title track, which you can sneak a peek at below, shows that Boardman’s at his best here.
Sleazy Dance Moves Vol.1 will be released on October 14 through Moon Harbour.
