2017 Rewind: Edge of Motion

Edge of Motion

How was 2017 for you?
Edge of Motion: 2017 was an interesting year for us. Three years ago we decided to get back together after a ten-year break and release music as Edge Of Motion again. We’ve been working hard in the studio to deliver a bulk of tracks of which the result is finally here: four releases on our own EOM imprint.

Highlights?
Our comeback release, “Point Taken,” played by nearly all the big players in the scene. The ultimate experience was when we where at the legendary venue De Gashouder in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Dave Clarke played our tune “Infiltrator.” This was a mind-blowing and rewarding moment as we witnessed the true purpose of the track come to life on the dance floor.

Lowlights?
For us it’s the decline in sales of the vinyl format. This has been going on for years already but it still hurts. We grew up in the ’80s and at that time vinyl was the main format, so we are kinda stuck with that old-school style.

Song of the year?
Perc’s “Spit.” This song is so disturbing! If you don’t know this one, please listen and you know what we’re talking about.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To work on our album and release it as a limited collectors vinyl six LP box, followed by an Edge of Motion tour.
