Tim Green 5 Tracks of the Moment

Tim_Green_Cocoon

London-based DJ/producer and Cocoon regular Tim Green, whose discography includes serving up tracks on labels like Four:Twenty, Get Physical and Dirtybird as well as forging a memorable remix of Paul McCartney and Wings vs Timo Maas and James Teej’s “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five,” is traveling across the pond a lot more these days to the delight of his fans. Last weekend he played Pink Mammoth in San Francisco and the Ebb & Flow boat party in New York City. On June 30 he’ll bring his quixotic brand of tech-house to Do Not Sit On The Furniture in Miami.

Green’s mini Stateside excursion is taking place ahead of the release of Tim Green & The Slow Revolt’s “Still Not Born,” a transformative collaboration with fellow Londoner Joe Mirza. It’s out July 14 on Cityfox, the New York/Zurich event and label which is throwing a series of summertime parties at The Brooklyn Mirage, dubbed The Cityfox Experience, after months of legal drama with city government.

As Greene finishes his stateside sprint, and preps a new live show this summer, he took time out to tell us about five tracks that are currently rocking his dance floor.

Bufi – “El House es Tu Idioma” (Dave DK Remix)
Awesome remix as ever from Dave DK — such a great balance between driving percussion and groove, yet not being over the top and too full on.

Definition – “Orient”
Been playing this one for a while now! Great it’s finally coming out. This track has such instant appeal and character. Always gets the crowd moving.

Axel Boman – “Voodoo”
Sick record! The hook is so infectious and trippy. It’s such a lovely rolling tune that I think could go on and on forever.

Fideles – “The Border”
Instant classic, with lovely production. Great balance between techno but with a good amount of melody.

Sebastian Mullaert – “Ode To Be”
Great classic sounding techno from Seb! Beautiful as ever. Always these great lovely melodies that always appear to be falling over themselves! Great stuff!
