After issuing the 50th release on his Bass Culture label earlier in the year in the form of Mr. G’s 50 50 EP and then playing Circoloco for the fifth year, Parisian producer D’julz is heading to America in September for a brief musical pilgrimage. “It’s going to be a very nice tour,” predicts the house/techno maestro. “I start with three West Coast dates—LA, San Diego and Tijuana—and then get four days in LA to chill before hitting the East Coast to play New York and DC where I will play both Flash Factory and Flash together with Steve Rachmad which should be a lot of fun. I finish the tour in Miami. I’m excited to be back in LA and spend some time there as it’s been a while.”

The stateside jaunt comes after he completed a spate of new remixes and releases that will soon see the light of day. “I have a remix I did for DJ Rolando that should be coming out soon on his label. I also have an EP for Rekids in the pipeline, and I’m working on one for my label Bass Culture.”

Speaking of Bass Culture, D’julz’s same-named legendary party at Rex Club is coming up on its 20th anniversary in 2017. D’julz is planning to mark the illustrious occasion in a memorable way, but for now he’s keeping his cards close to his chest. “I’m still working on the programing so I can’t announce anything yet, but I will bring some of my all-time favorite DJs plus a couple of legendary ones who I have always wanted to invite.”

What he will say is that he’s planning to set aside one party where he’ll play from open to close. “I will also save one night for myself to play all night long, which I haven’t in a while.”

D’julz plays Couture in LA on September 16; Warehouse in San Diego on September 17; and Wherehouse in Tijuana on September 18. He plays with Steve Rachmad at Flash Factory in NYC on September 23 and Flash in Washington, DC On September 24. His tour concludes at Electric Pickle in Miami on September 25.
