If you’ve heard any of Argentinian born Federico Molinari’s tracks on Raum…Musik, Tuba or Pressure Traxx, you’ll know the Berlin-based explorer always goes above and beyond when it comes to embellishing his tracks with unique sounds and textures. In a logical career development Molinari (who co-runs Oslo Records with Nekes) has aligned with Apollonia Music, the bespoke Parisian imprint run by Shonky, Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom. Molinari’s relationship with the label began when he reached out to Ghenacia via e-mail. “Dan wrote me back and asked me for even more tracks and soon after I received a nice mail with a confirmation for an EP,” he recalls. This week finds the release of Molinari’s Congo Toys EP, and we’re pleased to world premiere “Joyfex” from the hot new offering. “Joyfex” is a hypnotic, trippy, techy track that couldn’t start May off on a more interesting and compelling note.
