The global economic meltdown has claimed another victim: Remix magazine. On Friday, the technology magazine’s publisher, Penton Media, pulled the plug on the monthly print edition and its January issue will be its last. However, the company will keep Remix alive as an online property and continue operating its rotating music production showcase, the Remix Hotel. “The economy got me. I knew it was coming these last six months, and Remix, the print magazine, is no longer,” said editor Kylee Swensen in an e-mail missive. Remix‘s closure comes during a year that has claimed several U.S. music titles, including Resonance and Harp.
