With much of the news really sucking right now, fans of Dutch DJ/producer Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music have reason to smile. The label head will mark the imprint’s 200th release with his upcoming three-track Sanction EP. Hazendonk describes the genesis of the title cut as starting out as “a loopy groovy jam session” that eventually morphed into a track that fit perfectly into his DJ sets.

For the milestone release the Rotterdam-based Hazendonk enlisted Hernan Cattaneo and Martin Garcia to remix “Profound Shift Of Conceptual Awareness” with “Spheksophobia” boasting a re-rub from Boss Axis.

“Since this is Manual’s 200th release, I thought it would be an appropriate juncture to ask producers I really love and respect to do a remix for one of my tracks,” Hazendonk says. “Hernan Cattaneo was quick to come to mind since I really respect him. It’s been too long since Hernan last appeared on my label when he remixed Eelke Kleijn in 2011, so I thought the time was right to ask him, and fortunately he quickly agreed to be on board and created this excellent remix of ‘Profound Shift Of Conceptual Awareness’ with another great Argentinian heavyweight Martin Garcia. Boss Axis have been a personal favorite of mine for a while now, because they’re masters of bringing melodic music to the dance floor. They always find a perfect blend that appeals to both the traditional progressive crowd as well as the deep/tech house crowd, and I must say they delivered again here.”
