What would you rather do on your Saturdays this summer when you want to work up a sweat to some cutting-edge music, close yourself off in some dank, claustrophobic club or soak up the rays in the open air at MoMA PS1’s annual Warm Up? Fortunately, you can do both if you want, but if the latter is among your choices, you’ll need to know that the 2015 lineup has been announced.
As always, you can expect live performances and DJ sets by a bountiful mix of vets and up-and-comers both homegrown and international. Tiga, Nicky Siano, Bauer, and Moritz Von Onswald are just a few of the names you’ll find on this year’s roster.
And there’s more to the Warm Up experience than the music, of course. This being a MoMA presentation, the visual arts will be represented too, with an installation from Andrés Jaque, and you’ll be able to soak up some cocktails and scarf up some food right there in the courtyard courtesy of the M. Wells Dinette. Just don’t forget to stock up on sunscreen — this is still a New York City summer we’re talking about here, and you wouldn’t want the Warm Up to turn into a Burn Up.
