How was 2017 for you?
Amazing! Each year just keeps getting better and better. Excited to see what 2018 holds.
Highlights?
Hmm, there’s been lots. I started the year off with a tour in Asia in January. I visited lots of countries I’ve never been to before, and escaped the cold Berlin winter which I loved! In February I played two shows with Pan-Pot in Portugal (Porto and Lisbon). That was pretty special, as it was also my first visit to Portugal and I absolutely loved the people and the crowd! Then in the summer my highlight has to be when I played a sunrise set at Sunwaves in Romania and then headed straight off to America for Burning Man. I also just hosted my very first concept night Curio in Antwerp at Club Vaag, which was a landmark occasion for me.
Lowlights?
I had a tour in India scheduled earlier this year and unfortunately it fell through last minute. I was really looking forward to that so it has been a lowlight. I also haven’t been able to make it back home to England as much as I usually do. So I really miss my family and friends which sucks.
Song of the year?
So hard to pick just one. Maxime Dangles’ “Our Own Choices.” Chose it because it’s a track I’ve often played at the end of sets or podcasts this year so I feel it’s also a good track to finish the year off!
