anders_ponsaing

How was 2017 for you?
Anders Ponsaing: It was a year that made me realize a lot of things about myself and what I want to achieve. Definitely a year I will look back on and feel proud. Now I’m so excited for what’s to come!

Highlights?
Having an EP out on Favouritizm, remixes for guys like Steen Thottrup on Francest!c, Asle on Sleazy Records, Alain Hellion on Two House Recordings, and two new tracks signed and ready!

Lowlights?
I didn’t really have a straight forward plan for my career and goal. But now I’m passed that point and ready to attack!

Song of the year?
Piem & Spencer K’s “Lowrider”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Do my thing, hahaha! Really just work, work, work for my goal! 🙂

When opportunity knocks, you’ve got to be ready to answer the door. Just ask Danish DJ/producer Anders Ponsaing.

After spending much of his childhood ensconced in music, Ponsaing, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sound Techniques from the Alternative Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, cut his musical teeth spinning in Copenhagen. Years of gigs allowed him to formulate his deep, techy signature.

When he got the call to remix Eva Scolaro & Steen T’s “Don’t Tell Me No,” he was all over it and rose to the occasion. Ponsaing’s remix eventually went viral, racking up over 17 million views on YouTube and finding its way into sets by a coterie of world-famous jocks. Unwilling to rest on his laurels, he parlayed the remix’s success into a residency at Avenue and gigs all over Ibiza last year.

Ahead of another year on the White Isle where he now lives, Ponsaing’s Deep Gravity EP is about to drop on Favouritizm. Ahead of the release we’re extremely pleased to world premiere “Black Soda,” a track oozing with ominous synth lines, pointed melodies and pristine percussion. Go listen below and pick up the full release on Traxsource on May 8 (everywhere else on May 22).
