2017 Rewind: Dev79

Dev79

How was 2017 for you?
Dev79: It was turbulent, eye-opening, frustrating and yet a very creatively charged year. So many things in so many ways, pushed me to think in new directions. And for that I’m grateful.

Highlights?
I wrote a lot of music, possibly my most productive year ever. Currently sifting over plans on what to do with all the material.

Lowlights?
Struggles of life and dealing with one’s own brain. Politics have surely been at a depressing low.

Song of the year?
HomeSick x Greazus x Sinistarr – “Jumanji”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
I don’t do resolutions but this year I’m certainly all about progression. I’m moving to LA to simply invigorate life with change and see what happens.

2017 Rewind: Ramiro Bernabela

Ramiro Bernabela

How was 2017 for you?
Ramiro Bernabela: 2017 was a pretty eventful year for me. I moved into a new house closer to the city in Detroit and built a new studio there. I am able to set it up exactly the way I want, with the studio being the main focus. I now have a monthly residency at The Works Detroit and it’s very special for me because I have been going to that club for years. I’ve been working really hard in the studio trying to finish up a lot of projects I’m working on, including a full-length original album together with my wife as The Bernabela Project.

Highlights?
Releasing new remixes in June of my track “Life After House” that I made together with Roland Clark. Playing at a Movement afterparty at The Works on the Saturday of Movement weekend. Buying a house and building a new studio.

Lowlights?
Packing and moving, not making it to the ADE this year.

Song of the year?
Pastaboys feat. Osunlade – Deep Musique (Rampa Remix)

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
I say this every year, but this year I really mean it! I’m going to try harder to finish up all the tracks I’m working on and stay focused. And to always keep growing as an artist and a person. Stay fit and keep eating healthy.

2017 Rewind: Robin Schulz

Robin_Schulz

How was 2017 for you?
Robin Schulz: It was an amazing year! I played great festivals all around the world. I also finished my residency in Ibiza over the summer and released my new album, Uncovered. And there are still cool things in the works!

Highlights?
My album Uncovered and the massive gig at Tomorrowland where I played the mainstage this year for the very first time.

Lowlights?
Not enough sleep. I didn’t have the chance to see my friends and family as much as I’d like.

Song of the year?
Calvin Harris feat. Frank Ocean – “Slide”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Be healthy and stay focused.

2017 Rewind: Lopezhouse

lopezhouse

How was 2017 for you?
Lopezhouse: It was very interesting and productive. We have worked hard on music production, creating new material for 2018, and we have got several releases on big European labels such as Dyinamic and Bedrock. We also released a new EP with Exploited Records, including a video clip and a fantastic remix by Zombies In Miami. On the other hand, we added up Notorize Management & Booking Agency to our team working in Spain and Europe in collaboration with our management New King agency for touring on 2018.

Highlights?
Undoubtedly, Dyinamic and Bedrock releases, two important landmarks in our career, being very well positioned labels in the current electronic music scene.

Lowlights?
Bookings have been our weak point this year, certainly. But we’re focusing that for the next year and hope to get as great gigs as Tomorrowland. We are preparing a good live show for 2018.

Song of the year
Depeche Mode – “No More”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
We are very excited with our new material, expecting good releases for the next year and touring abroad.
