Ricardo Da Force, Rapper for The KLF and N-Trance, Is Dead

British rapper Ricardo Da Force, who performed on classic ’90s tracks by The KLF including “3 A.M. Eternal,” “Last Train to Trancentral” and “Justified and Ancient,” has died. The news was announced today on the Facebook page of ’90s dance duo N-Trance, who Da Force sang with. N-Trance wrote, “Just heard news that Ricardo Da Force has passed away online casinos. He was a massive part of this band & the main influence for us to start making music from his days in the KLF… gonna be hugely missed RIP.” Da Force, whose real name was Jervis Ricardo Alfonso Lyte, also recorded with Adamski, Trancylvania and Clubzone during his career. According to reports, Da Force apparently died in Barbados. The cause of death is unknown at this time.

  2. Such a shame – I follow N-Trance on facebook and got into their music when Ricardo joined them because I was a mad KLF fan (hence the reason why I use a lot of 99’s in my user names). I saw that on their page and at first couldn’t believe it. N-Trance have announced that sadly he died of a brain haemorrhage. RIP Ricardo.

  3. Sadly ive just learnt the sad news of the passing of Ricardo Lyte who in knew as Ricky from back in the mid 80’s he was the life and soul of any gathering and always made me laugh he was naturally talented a true gent and also a legend RIP Rick you will be sadly missed but never forgotten

  6. I worked with Ricky when I was part of X-10-CIV and we recorded The Force together (which he took his name from). So sad to hear of his passing, was a truly decent guy, really talented, fun and so easy to work with. RIP Ricky!
