Here’s something to get excited about. Detroit’s Carl Craig and Berlin’s Moritz von Oswald of Basic Channel fame have announced the upcoming release of their “Attenuator” collaboration. The double-sided single featuring both artist’s version of the track will drop on October 23, 200 via Craig’s Planet E Communications.

“Attenuator” is the first release from a series of studio sessions in Berlin and Detroit over the past two years. More material will be released at a later date.

The pair’s previous collaborations include 2008’s Recomposed, a rework of two popular classical music pieces, Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition (1874) and Maurice Ravel’s Boléro (1928).
