Pharrell Williams & Pentatonic Introduce Pebble Cutlery Kit To Reduce Single-Use Plastic

THE PEBBLE BY OTHERWARE

Are you looking for an environmentally friendly way to reduce the consumption of single-use plastics? Say hello to The Pebble, a reusable cutlery set comprised of a knife, fork, spoon, chopsticks and a straw. The kit arrives in time for 2021 when single-use plastic cutlery, plates and straws will be banned across the European Union.

The Pebble is brought to us by OTHERWARE and produced by Pentatonic, “the world’s leading circular economy company,” in partnership with i am OTHER, the creative collective assembled by Pharrell Williams. You got that all straight?

What’s inventive is how the Pebble’s case is made from recycled CDs, handles from recycled food packaging and the tips are anodized titanium coated steel to give the unique colored tool heads. It’s easily recycled and can be traded in for new merch created by the manufacturer.

The limited-edition launch colorway benefiting YELLOW, INC, a non-profit foundation established by Pharrell Williams, quickly sold-out.

However, the regular edition of The Pebble is available for US $59 here.
