Globetrotting DJ/producers Seth Troxler and Dana Ruh will jump out of a plane on December 8 to benefit Keep Sydney Open, an organization working to reverse a series of stifling restrictions recently imposed on the Australian city’s nightclub community. Since the introduction of the “lockout laws” — which involve 3am final call, 10pm last takeaway alcohol sales and 1:30am last entry — KSO reports that over 30 entertainment venues in Sydney have shuttered.

Inspired how fabric mobilized to get its license back after its renewal was denied by a local council and promptly closed in August following a series of drug deaths earlier in 2016, KSO says, “The city’s music industry should be protected, not punished. The government needs to acknowledge the value and necessity of a healthy nightlife scene both culturally and economically – and the first step is to lift the lockouts.”

Troxler and Ruh will skydive with a group of DJs including Archie Hamilton and Murat Kilic, all of whom will be playing Subsonic Music Festival on December 2-4.

Donations to Keep Sydney Open can be made here.
