Los Angeles house heads will have a new nightlife option starting next month when Cure And The Cause opens its doors on March 5 with Disco Does It featuring Master Kev, Eddie B and Ricky Doubles. The brand-new venue, located at 204 1/2 North Brand Blvd. in Glendale, will present DJs spinning house music in all of its many iterations daily starting at 4pm, 11:30am on the weekends for brunch events.

According to co-owner Good For You Records boss Kenny Summit, who has partnered with veteran DJ/event promoter DJ Fido and event coordinator Linsey Latimer for the venture, the club’s roster of residents DJs will include David Harness, Jay-J Hernandez, Will Reelsoul, Eric Kupper, Ghosts of Venice, Colette, Jask, DJ Mes and Eddie Amador, with other residents to be announced shortly.

“We will have international guests, but one of the goals we have is to tap into the more than ample supply of super-talented DJs who live in the greater Los Angeles area,” Summit told Big Shot. “L.A. has a rich history in the house scene and we’re looking forward to showcasing the talent that lives in the area.”

In order to keep the focus on the music, Cure And The Cause will take a page from Brooklyn’s Output and Berlin’s Berghain by instituting a ban on photography. “We’re not allowing cameras inside the club at all,” said Summit. “People won’t be allowed to use their cell phones inside.”
