That old saying about one door closing so that another one can open turns out to be true in the global nightlife realm too. Though the New York location of Pacha will be closing in January after a ten-year run, a new addition to the international Pacha family will be opening in a part of the world that’s never seen its like before. Pacha Macau is preparing to open at the Studio City resort and entertainment complex in the Chinese territory of Macau. Bringing a little bit of Ibiza to Asia, Pacha Macau will not only be the largest party spot in Macau, it’s also the first venue of its scope to open anywhere in the region.
The Studio City complex boasts attractions including a 5,000-seat event center, Batman-themed motion ride Batman Dark Flight, Franz Harary’s House Of Magic, and a double Ferris wheel 130 meters above the ground. The club itself will have a 1,000 square foot dance floor, a state-of-the-art sound system, a 3,000-person capacity, and of course some of the best DJs on the planet.
Managing Director Eddie Dean says, “We envision Pacha Macau to be the most amazing nightclub entertainment experience Macau has to offer. For me it’s been a personal dream, a passion project, to translate the success of Pacha to Macau, and we look forward to welcoming guests into the Club. Everything will be perfect, down to the minute detail; from our talent line-up, to the venue itself, to the level of service our customers expect as standard at Pacha.”
