Cameo Gallery, a home to DJs and indie bands located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, announced today via a post on Facebook that it was closing on November 21. The intimate 150-erson space gave no additional information about what caused it to shutter but neighborhood gentrification is a logical first guess. Here’s their statement in its unedited entirety. Cameo Gallery, we’re going to miss you.

As all good things must come to an end, Cameo Gallery will be closing its operations on Nov. 21st, 2015. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been part of an amazing music scene. We want to give a heartfelt thanks to all those who have been a part of our existence since we opened our doors 7 years ago. We’ve seen some great acts blow through our intimate space, to name a few: Neon Indian, Twin Shadow, Blood Orange, Toro y Moi, Sharon Van Etten, The War on Drugs, Nicolas Jaar, Mumford & Sons, St. Lucia and let’s not forget legendary DJs like Frankie Knuckles, Juan Atkins, DJ Sprinkles, and countless more. In the meantime, we invite you to come enjoy the last events we have in store. CMJ is right around the corner and we’ll be announcing all of our final shows and parties as the weeks dwindle down.

We look forward to enjoying these final moments with you.
