Emerging Bay Area producer Charles Duff — who is more commonly known as Matrixxman — has announced he will release his debut album on July 10, 2015 on Ghostly. Since making a splash on the global stage with a spate of high-quality releases and remixes over the past two or so years, his forthcoming effort, Homesick, presents Duff with room to spread his creative wings even wider.
Duff, who also co-runs the mighty Soo Wavey label with Vin Sol — the two collaborated on “HMU (Hit Me Up)” on the upcoming album — has posted “Augmented,” a rollicking techno-rooted track from Homesick, giving fans a hint of what to expect.
In other Matrixxman news, Duff plays The Bunker’s party at Output here in Brooklyn, along with La-4a, Alessandro Cortini, Neel, Romans and Clay Wilson, on April 25.
