What better way to launch a new label than with a new project? The Tied imprint, which, like any sensible label, specializes in vinyl, is kicking off its catalog with an EP from a new trio. On their own and as part of the Sleep Is Commercial collective, among other things, Topper, Andrea Ferlin and RG have plenty of achievements under their belts. But when they came together for the Memo Boys EP, they took things a step further.
On “Gem 1” and “Gem 2,” this crew shows they’ve mastered the tricky task of keeping things minimal while still maintaining plenty of atmosphere. And on the remix, Martinez of Concealed Sounds intensifies things to offer a whole new sonic perspective. Get a first listen below.
