2019 Rewind: DJ Vivona

Dj-Vivona

How was 2019 for you?
DJ Vivona: It was a great wave full of emotions! The live performances and the label are growing in the right direction and we’re making the right moves.

Highlights?
Performing & sharing the stage with artists like Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Louie Vega, Nic Fanciulli, Ilario Alicante or playing at the Elrow party and ADE Festival. An important step was the meeting with Erick Morillo, with whom I played. He liked my track “Worldwide” very much and released my debut on his Subliminal Records. This was definitely my biggest hit of the year.

Lowlights?
Fortunately there were no real tragedies. I have to admit that managing a label like Sunclock, which in five years has over 150 releases which includes singles and compilations, is a complicated job. But I’m very proud of my team who do a great job. P.S. Obviously, Sunclock is not a lowlight! 🙂

Song of the year?
Louie Vega & The Martinez Brothers with Marc E. Bassy’s “Let It Go” (Cuttin’ Headz)

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Can’t wait for this 2020! I don’t like to talk much in advance because we never know about the future. I can tell you something about my plans. I have some hot forthcoming releases: one with the diva Monique Bingham under my label; two on Subliminal Records, and another one on Crystal Waters’ I Am House Records, and more coming stuff with the legendary King Street records team. These are just part of my plans for 2020. I’ve also booked gigs around Europe and have other great stuff coming up.
