How was 2019 for you?
Alinka: This year was transformative for me. I left my second job in music copyright to focus on being a full-time musician. Since then I’ve written some of the best music I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on, and I’ve also played some incredible gigs this year.
Highlights?
Playing the closing set at Panorama Bar for the first time this summer. Playing back-to-back with my friend Maceo Plex, who has been really supportive and vital in my life this year. Playing Circoloco on my birthday with the Keinemusik crew and lots of friends. Finding my manager, who has been my rock throughout the year.
Lowlights?
The anxiety that comes with being a full-time musician, social media, world politics.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To keep growing as an artist and a human, and panic a little less about life and trust the journey.
