How was 2018 for you?
Eelke Kleijn: Pretty good! My new album, Moments Of Clarity, was finally released this year. I’ve been working on it since 2016, so it was something I had been looking forward to for a long time!
Highlights?
Definitely the release of the album. Also visiting Burning Man for the first time and playing the Mayan Warrior was an incredible experience.
Lowlights?
To be honest, I don’t really know. It’s been a really good year actually. All my friends and family are doing well and everyone is in good health. I think that is all that matters. I don’t want to focus on small inconveniences.
Song of the year?
Rüfüs Du Sol with “Underwater.” Still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Start making music on my laptop. I’ve never been able to; I need to be in my studio to get inspired. But I’m traveling so much lately that I really need to get it sorted. So that is what I will focus on for 2019.
