2018 Rewind: Oliver Huntemann

Oliver Huntemann

How was 2018 for you?

Oliver Huntemann: 2018 was pretty intense for me as my latest album, Propaganda, was released at the end of last year. That meant a lot of PR appointments and gigs sent me on the road all over the year. I couldn’t be happier about the feedback on that long-player. Also, my label, Senso Sounds, expanded with fresh artists such as Carlo Ruetz, Olivier Giacamotto and Distale, just to name few.

Highlights?

Our new series of Senso Sounds showcases went far beyond expectations. Especially the 24 hours of Senso at Kafes in Istanbul with almost all artists performing — it was a blast. It was probably the party of the year for us. Also, my oldest son joined the team and brought great impact for the social media division. Not forgetting his graduation as master of photography made me very proud. A good year on both sides, private and business.

Lowlights?

I was lucky to take my family on a few of my trips but even with this benefit it was not enough time. It’s always heartbreaking to leave, especially when my 18-month-old boy looks at me with big eyes while I have to say goodbye for another tour.

Song of the year?

Shaded – Rippple
