2018 Rewind: Blaqwell

BLAQWELL

How was 2018 for you?

Blaqwell: This was great year! Big events, fresh productions, and we signed some great releases to Brobot Records from some quality talent.

Highlights?

So much happened in 2018. Had a few stand-out gigs… Shared the stage with one of my personal favorites, Derrick Carter.

Great time in Mexico playing WHO’s WHO Music Festival with Phil Weeks, Harvard Bass and Brillstein.

I put out some well-received originals and remixes I’m really happy with and my design company, Artikal Creative ,also had its biggest year so far. Definitely feeling good about 2019.

Lowlights?

No real lowlights on a personal level. I just wish I’d gotten more done.

Song of the year?

Too tough to call. But there are a few productions that stood out for me.

Shiba San – ‘All I Need’; Marst Paris Detroit Express (Darius Syrossian Remix); Junior Sanchez- ‘Strong Enough’; Demuir – ‘How Beautiful Your Are’; Nic Fanciulli ‘Star’ to name a few.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

That’s easy: LEARN MORE. DO MORE!
