2018 Rewind: DJ Bone

DJ Bone

How was 2018 for you?

DJ Bone: Musically and DJing-wise 2018 was great. I was pretty busy touring and played some very quality gigs. I’m also very excited to have new representation for bookings with the Triangle Agency. Personally though…2018 was a very sad due to family issues.

Highlights?

The highlights of 2018 for me:

Releasing my two albums (A Piece of Beyond and BEYOND). They’re part of a trilogy of albums I’m releasing; it’s been a huge labor of love for me.

There were a bunch of amazing organic moments that happened during some of my sets this year too. Standouts were, the two events I played in Kiev (Brave! Factory Festival and Closer Halloween), my house set at Soenda, my set in the UFO at Dekmantel and the surprise House set I played at FreeRotation Festival.

Lowlights?

My family suffered the loss of my father this year. This was completely devastating. Nothing else really mattered compared to this.

Song of the year?

The song I loved the most this year had to be “This is America” by Childish Gambino. I have an a cappella that I’ve been mixing into my sets on the fly and the way I bring it in just makes the crowd erupt!

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

To take better care of my health and to do much more to help others who are in need.
