Goeran Meyer 5 Tracks of the Moment

Goeran-Meyer

German DJ/producer/MYR label boss Goeran Meyer is heading into autumn firing on all cylinders. Last week he presented the two-track Closed Circle EP, which is his imprint’s tenth release. Clocking in at an expansive 10:36 “Face Away” is an absolutely epic tech-house opus that’s full of crisp percussion, a driving, synth-driven groove and emotive bass. On “Only Voices” Meyer descends even deeper into house music’s deeper and abyss, navigating the hypnotic track through a channel of murky synths and woozy pads and vocal samples.

With his latest effort now available for the masses to enjoy, we checked in with Meyer and asked him to tell us about five of his current favorite tracks presently rocking his dance floor.

1. Karaat – Beste – (Pascal FEOS Treatment)
This track has been hotly anticipated and heard many times over the last few years in the sets of Pascal FEOS and Guido Schneider. Now it gets a full release on levelNONzero. Deep, yet exciting, Pascal has really brought the best out of this with his treatment. Definitely one of the tracks of the summer.

2. Juli Lee – You Are Not Machines
“You Are Not Machines” is just an incredibly well-produced record. The groove Juli Lee gets in this track is something special. A simply lovely production.

3. A-Trak – Believe – ft. Quavo & Lil Yachty (Ninetoes Remix)
The rhythm section in “Believe” paired with the background vocals is just amazing, and Ninetoes delivers a remix which is one of the greatest pieces of this year.

4. Elderbrook – Capricorn
“Capricorn” … La La La Lalalalala! With this track playing in the car at sunshine, the emotional barometer goes to 100 percent. A super nice summer tune.

5. Oldrich Sic Jr. – Well
“Well” is forward-thinking techno for me. An absolutely super brutally clean mix that moves everything through with a driving groove. This is music that speaks for itself.
