JES’ 5 Favorite Songs of the Moment

JES

What a long, amazing trip it’s been for New York City bred singer/songwriter Jes Brieden. Blessed with a voice from heaven and the gift to pen uplifting tunes that touch the heart, she’s collaborated over the years with the likes of Tiësto, BT, Cosmic Gate and ATB, devastated dance floors as one-third of Motorcycle (“As The Rush Comes” is a club classic) and has been enjoying a hit-filled solo career on her own terms for nearly a decade.

Currently riding high on the success of her breakout smash “Two Souls,” we checked with the songstress to see which songs are currently in heavy rotation in her world.

1. Axwell – “Can’t Hold Us Down”
Axwell has always managed to make meaningful music that is fun and this one is no exception. It fulfills all its promises and continues to grow on me with every listen.

2. JES – “Two Souls” (Original Mix)
I love the way this song came out. It’s naturally inspiring and has a melody and lyrics that deeply connect with the music. This one is a perfect peak-time emotional cut or just for listening to on a long journey when you’re far from home.

3. Genix – “Durban” (Original Mix)
Genix has long been a quiet favorite producer of mine. This track combines and infectious drop with great builds. Ideal peak-time listening to lift any main room.

4. Galantis – “Runaway” (U&I) (Dillon Francis Remix)
Galantis’ devil-may-care creativity gets stretched to the limit by class clown Dillon Francis. I loved the original, and I love this twisted electro-house rework as well!

5. Roger Shah and Sian Kosheen – “Hide You” (Jerome ISMA-AE Remix)
This track is a wonderful deep-house influence for any set. It manages to retain great energy and intensity even at a lower BPM.
