Workers preparing for weekend one of Ultra Music Festival were injured yesterday. According to the Associated Press, one worker was in critical condition, another serious. The AP also reports a third worker suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, while a fourth was treated on the scene “after being shaken up by what he saw.”

UMF issued a statement about what transpired at the incident:

Today (Thursday, March 14) as preparations were being made for this weekend’s Ultra Music Festival, a section of an LED screen fell and injured two workers. Fire Rescue was on site so there was a rapid response. Festival organizers are working with, and supporting, authorities as they investigate the details behind the accident.

The fire marshal, structural engineers, an Occupational Safety and Health Administration representative, and city police and fire officials plan to review the accident scene on Friday.

Video: Did You See Daft Punk’s TV Commercial Last Night During SNL?

Daft-Punk-Columbia

Those watching last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by comedian Kevin Hart were treated to something special in between comedy sketches and musical performances by guest Macklemore and Ryan Lewis: a teaser commercial for Daft Punk‘s upcoming album. The 15-second spot aired only days after the group updated its website to feature one image of its trademark robot helmets with Columbia Records’ logo emblazoned on the bottom right-hand corner.

Daft Punk’s ad featured a disco-style groove and funky guitar line, which many on social media suspect belongs to Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers since he has blogged openly about collaborating with the French duo. No additional information such as a release date were included in those precious seconds. What fans can expect next from Daft Punk is anyone’s guess: A surprise show? Rush release of their new album? Who knows. But whatever the case you’ve got to give them credit for keeping the lead up to their next album extremely exciting and interesting. Have a look at the commercial below.
