With a discography brimming with over 100 releases on top labels including Ministry of Sound, Global Underground and Underwater Records, powerhouse progressive house DJ/producer Alan Prosser is about to make his debut on Pangea Recordings.
Ahead of the release of Prosser’s I’m Back EP out October 24, we’re thrilled to world premiere Kiz Pattison’s sprawling remix of the title track.
On his iteration, the Birmingham maestro crafts an energetic narrative, reconstructing the song with careful tempo-building while orchestrating a cadre of swirling pads and a relentlessly booming kick drum. It culminates in a swirling and thoroughly satisfying synth-soaked climax.
Twisted Records UK is getting ready to present an interesting, er, twist on the remix album concept.
Instead of compiling an album’s worth of re-rubs crafted by a variety of producers for Shpongle Remixed, label boss and Shpongle founder Simon Posford enlisted producer Jamie Grashion (a.k.a. Cosmic Trigger) to re-interpret an entire album’s worth of the group’s tracks on his own.
A member of the Twisted Records UK family, Jamie, who assists Simon in the studio, was already intimate with the music, making him the ideal person to take on remix duties.
We’re thrilled to world premiere “No Turn Un-Stoned (Cosmic Trigger Remix)” from the upcoming release.
Jamie’s remix is an intoxicating interpretation that takes the song into new spiritual territory by way of punchy basslines, a sprinkling of atmospheric glitch-hop vibes and assorted eargasmic magic dust.
“I’m really happy with how this one turned out,” Jamie tells us of the remix.
He adds, “It’s quite different to the original, but as with the others on this album I was taking the original stems as a springboard to delve into new tangential sonic environments. I was experimenting with foley quite a bit on this track inspired by listening to a lot of KOAN Sound, and happily, I managed to fit a duduk solo in there, one of my favorite folk instruments.”

Those who watched Boiler Room’s Streaming from Isolation series will remember a captivating set from rising Shanghai-based Taiwanese singer/DJ/producer Stella Chung (a.k.a. Scintii).
During a 30-minute set, Chung, who performed flanked by a row of mannequins, presented her burgeoning electronic-fueled oeuvre drawing upon releases on Eternal Dragonz and SVBKVLT.
Ahead of the October 2 release of Chung’s Times New Roman EP — her debut on Houndstooth realized with guest producer Danny L Harle (PC Music, Charli XCX) — we’re thrilled to world premiere a cracking remix of the title track reimagined by Palmistry (a.k.a. Benjy Keating).
The South London-based singer/producer’s re-rub launches the post-pop song into an orbit of pitched-up (and slowed-down) helium-fueled vocals, glimmering synths and a rollercoaster of beats, breaks and basslines.

Classically trained London-based German/Polish alt-pop instrumentalist/writer Madeleine Wise (better known as Psyrena) just dropped the synth-tastic “Jedi Master” from her upcoming Quarantella Rockefella EP due out later this year.
We’re thrilled to world premiere Blakk Habit’s remix of the track that reimagines the electro-pop jam through the lens of UK garage.
On his sultry remix, the Leeds maestro injects the song with an infectiously funky two-step groove and assorted bad-ass bass goodness.
Says Blakk Habit of his remix, “The first thing that struck me when I was approaching this remix was the really cool and original production on the vocal. I wanted to produce a bouncy and soulful beat to compliment it. This was a really fun remix to do.”
