A year ago we introduced you to Lúlla, an electronic-pop duo featuring British producer Vern from Nude Disco and Icelandic singer-songwriter Heidrun Bjornsdottir. Their musical recipe is all about pairing two simple ingredients: ’80s European synth-pop and melancholy vocals.
With the 2017 six song mini album Winter In The City and a stellar cover of Pet Shop Boys’ “Love Comes Quickly” under their belt, the pair make a welcome return this month with their new single, “Suffer,” due out July 15 on Nude Disco Records.
Here’s what they had to say about “Suffer,” a track we’re pleased to word premiere: “It tells a story of the complications of three in a relationship. But not the usual three you would think of — the domineering Mother and the conversations that arise from these situations.”
