Premiere: Anthony Castaldo – Kalt Feat. Raniero

Anthony Castaldo

Today is a big day for rising UK-based techno phenom Anthony Castaldo.

The Italian-born DJ/producer’s long-awaited Kalt EP has been released on Carl Cox and Jon Rundell’s mighty Intec Digital. The release adds to his growing body of top-quality work for labels such as Unrilis, Respekt Recordings and Analytic Trail.

We’re thrilled to world premiere the title track, a dark, hard-hitting rollercoaster ride featuring pummeling percussion, bellicose bass and snarling synths. The pièce de résistance is Raniero’s haunting spoken word phrasings uttered in German.

Premiere: All Hail The Silence – Daggers (BTS Video)

All-Hail-The-Silence

We couldn’t start off 2019 with a better world premiere.

Famed electronic music pioneer Brian “BT” Transeau and veteran British singer-songwriter Christian Burns, of English pop group BBMAK, joined forces a while back to form All Hail The Silence. The result of their musical union is the duo’s 14-track album, Daggers (KSS3TE Recordings), out on January 18.

What’s notable is that no computers were used during the recording process. Instead, the pair utilized sequencers and modular/analog synthesizers to bring their songs to life.

We’re thrilled to present the behind-the-scenes video for Daggers ahead of the album’s release. In this captivating nine-minute clip, BT and Christian explain how the project came together and the significance of the album’s title — all while playing and fiddling with assorted weapons in their droolworthy synth arsenal.

alan_fraze

Denver-based DJ/producer/128 BPM Evolution podcast host Alan Fraze closes out 2018 with the Deep and Dark EP arriving on December 20 via JourneyDeep. The two-tracker from the Mile High City mixer is a dark techno affair that grabs you by the jugular and won’t let go.

We’re thrilled to world premiere the hard-as-nails opening track “Kina Na Giza” ahead of the EP’s release. Says Fraze on the ethos behind his latest masterwork: “I enjoy taking people on a journey through music and the Deep & Dark EP will do just that. The heavy drums, deep basslines, and blistering leads will leave any partygoer hypnotized on the dance floor.”

Premiere: Jeremie Whistler – Smoke Signals (Louise Roam Remix)

Jeremie Whistler

Leftfield Parisian electronic singer/songwriter/producer Jeremie Whistler’s star has been on the rise since he released the well-received Flakes EP, co-produced with Angelo Foley (Christine & The Queens) and Apollo Noir (Tigersushi), in 2014.

His latest offering “Seven Seas” forms a prelude to the chapters that follow in his upcoming debut album, The Dawn, due in 2019.

Ahead of the album’s release Whistler has tapped electro-popper Louise Roam to remix his new song “Smoke Signals,” which we’re pleased to world premiere.

Says Whistler of his fellow Parisian’s remix: “I thought of Louise for a remix because I fell in love with her song ‘The March.’ Her style is pretty similar to mine but she took the track somewhere else. She did such an amazing work; I was very surprised that she used her voice in the remix and how perfectly it works with mine.”
